Testimonials

I would highly recommend Capitol Auction & Estate Services LLC.

Terry and his team were outstanding. From start to finish there was a genuine interest in helping the family through the difficult time and a professionalism that was unmatched by other firms. His communication and flexibility were paramount in successfully navigating the estate sales process and his expertise in the field helped to guide us down the right road.

Thank you so much for your help, Terry. we owe you a debt of gratitude and our respect!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for all that you did to help Willamette Heritage Center's Fall Fundraiser. The evening was a success from both financial and friend building standpoint. Personally, I found it great fun to stand on stage with you as you auctioned off our items and secured more pledges in our paddle raise than we did the previous year. We had many compliments about the event. Your assistance was a pivotal part of that success both in the pre-planning and guidance with the silent auction and during the oral auction.

Yours truly,
Amy Vandegrift
Development Director Willamette Heritage Center, Salem, Oregon

Thank you again for your help. We were very pleased with the service, and will definitely recommend you to others.

Thank you so much for all that you have done for me. It was a horrid time in my life and you lifted a huge weight from my shoulders. Wishing you tremendous success in the year to come!

Always,
Karen Z.

Pack 107 of the Boy Scouts of America would like to thank you for your generous contributions to our Pack. By allowing our boys to run the concession area at Capitol Auction you are helping them practice some of Cub Scouting's Core Values, such as: Citizenship, Compassion, Cooperation, Courage, Honesty, Perseverance, Positive Attitude, Resourcefulness, Respect and Responsibility. They are learning valuable skills; customer service, how to count back change, organization, and how to earn money to pay their way in scouting.

We at the Willamette Heritage Center at the Mill are tremendously indebted to Terry Mangum for helping make our benefit auction a success. This is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the museum and we were depending on Terry. Thanks to Terry, we successful raised enough to ensure that our major exhibit revitalization project will be completed. Terry was very professional, responsive to our needs, interacted wonderful with our quests, and made the evening very enjoyable. Thank you Terry.

I just want to express my warmest thanks for your service. When my dear wife of 60 years died in 2011, I put our house up for sale, knowing the housing market was very depressed, and a sale might take some time. Surprisingly, it sold quickly, and the buyer wanted to close escrow within one month. I would have to move within three weeks, and I needed help. Fortunately, I contacted you.

Our estate was not of great wealth, but we had collections from around the world, including such things as ceramic figurines, crystal glassware, wall art, dolls, seasonal dishware and decorations as well as many household items, hand and garden tools. I was in no position to evaluate the wide variety of things, let alone find buyers for them.

You were able to take all those things, bringing your own truck and movers, and showing appreciation for the hidden worth, giving me reassurance and confidence at a time I needd it the most. Because of your service, I was able to move on time, and you have since auctioned everything for a fair price. It was a great pleasure working with you.

Sincerely,
Richard R.

Wow! An example of the 'impossible' getting "taken care of". Time and time again, this happened with Capitol Auction as you were involved in sorting, removing, cleaning, and auctioning/selling Uncle George's items. Even your vendor recommendation proved extremely valuable in their contributions to helping the house get turned in such a quick time period. What seemed like an insurmountable task from start to finish was systematically handled by you and your wonderful staff. Perseverance. You have one of the most well-run, well-lead companies we have ever worked with. Always professional, always trustworthy, always knowledgeable. You have our highest recommendation!

What a genuine pleasure it has been working with you and having an opportunity to get to know you both! There are a few professionals in the area that we could say, unequivocally, that we would recommend first every time. You guys are tops for us!
With warm regards, Christy and Scott

I must congratulate you. There are very few auction houses on Proxibid that actually let you know the shipping costs via email. Most of the times it is a complete surprise as to the amount of shipping they charge which you don't find out until they bill your credit card. When you look at your credit card statement it is sometimes so overinflated; for example in my last auction the shipping label showed $12.55 shipping charge and my credit card showed $31.00 for putting 4 comic books in a small box! You obviously operate an honest, upfront and fair auction house and I thoroughly enjoyed doing business with you and look forward to future auctions.
Take care,
Richard Albero

We would like to thank you for selling our many treasures and for making us feel like family and taking the burden from us in trying to sell the many items we had.

We would gladly recommend your service to anyone who has a need to dispose of one to hundreds of items.

We both want to thank you so much for the wonderful job you did for us and the incredible service you provided.
As you know, when Vendy's father passed away, he left us a large house and barn filled with all of the posessions they had accumulated while living there for 73 years. We had a full house, two 2-car garages, two shops, two large storage rooms, and five vehicle bays just full of all kinds of stuff, including an older car, two farm tractors, four garden tractors, and many tools and implements.

Frankly, we were just overwhelmed by it all. And then, we found you. After we had removed some personal items, we asked you to sell, donate, or disgard everything else. And you took care of everything for us, and did so in an extremely professional and courteous way. You were patient while answering our many questions and completely guided us through a process that was totally unfamiliar to us.

In the end, you did exactly what you promised, and we feel we got a very fair return for the items that were sold. You provided detailed paperwork after the sale, and paid us our portion immediately.

We will happily give Capitol Auction our highest recommendation to anyone!

Sincerely,
Wes & Vendy Lockard

Thank you so much for volunteering at our Hammond Elementary School Auction. Your services as an auctioneer really helped to bring in more money fo our fundraiser. Your enthusiasm and excitement was felt throughout the audience.
Ourdoor School was a great success this year due to the volunteers who helped bring in money. The students were able to attend due to the money earned at the auction. We appreciate all of your help!
Sincerely,
